"Simple Ideas for Powerful Sharing" will be a BYOL (bring your own laptop) session by Wesley Fryer
at the ISTE conference
in Philadelphia scheduled for June 29, 2011. The session description is:
Sharing is a moral imperative for educators. Dean Shareski made this point clearly in his 2010 pre-conference keynote for the K-12 Online Conference. In this session, we'll explore ways educators are using digital platforms to share ideas, network, collaborate, and communicate more with students, parents, and peers. If you can send an email attachment, you can share rich media as well as text and hyperlinks with Posterous. If you do not already have an online classroom learning hub, it's time to create one. We'll look at examples of sites classroom teachers are using now to provide rich windows into the learning of their students. We need more "digitally powered" show and tell. Come learn how.
This website will be used to share chapters of the forthcoming book by Wesley Fryer, "Talk with Media: Simple Ideas for Powerful Sharing." In conjunction with the main project site, talkwithmedia.com, this site will provide educators with tools and ideas for using different kinds of media to effectively communicate digitally.
